Abstract

Doty argues that the end of the twentieth century was a time of transition and development in Basque social and political sectors. Using an arsenal of personal interviews, on-site visits, and photographs, as well as Spanish and English historiography, she examines the Basque separatist movement in relation to Basque society, culture, and history during the last two decades of the century.
