Abstract
Notes the death of Harold A. Goolishian, pioneer family psychologist and dean of the social constructionist movement in family therapy. In the 1950s he played a central role in developing Multiple Impact Therapy, one of the earliest federally funded projects in family therapy. Goolishian was co-founder of the Houston-Galveston Institute, which became known in the 1980s for the Collaborative Language Systems Approach.
